What’s for Dinner? Sunday Link up #400

Welcome 2023~

Another trip around the sun, another year in our lives. Each new year I choose a word to be my focus for the coming year. 2022 was present. And I had no choice but learn being present. Before the year was even half way through, I had a compression fracture in my back. I could do almost nothing (or so it felt). And just when that was starting to get better, I broke my wrist – and needed surgery. I’m just now able to type and start to do things, although still limited. But while I was forced to lay low and relax, I learned to really see things. I learned the value of just being silent and absorbing all the things around me – good and bad. I learned how important every single moment is. Relish the seconds for the next moment is not promised.

For 2023 I’ve chosen health for my word. I aim to address my mind, body and spirit in more healthy and beneficial ways. If you chose a word for the next year, what would it be? And what about that other word, dinner …

Happy New Year, Helen! I am joining really late because on New Year’s Eve I hurt my wrist, yes, so I am literally feeling your pain, not to the same extent since it thankfully did not break, but I have been going through the same thought process as you, and you could not have said it better. So here to health and family, and my post this week is #52 Turkey Leftovers – Six Ways. Congratulations on your awesome #400 party, enjoy the rest of your week!
