Lox aren’t just for cream cheese and bagels! How about adding it to toast with avocado? A healthy breakfast on the run or as a part of a great brunch! Â And it’s SUPER simple!
Instructions are for a single serving. Â Need to feed more – just multiply by how many people you are feeding! Â And you can adjust the quantities to suit your tastes!
What you need:
- 1 Sourdough bread
- ¼ avocado per serving
- 1 ½ oz salmon Lox per serving
How to Do it:
Toast the bread. Mash the avocado and spread evenly over the toast.
Top with salmon
That’s it!

I love everything about this. I’d probably eat soooo many :D Thanks for sharing with us at Funtastic Friday!
Thanks Angie – and I would over do it too- that’s why I buy one small package of lox at a time!! LOL
Sorry, I don’t know what lox salmon is. Like is that raw salmon. I love the toast and avocado.

Lox is the meat from the belly of the salmon that is cured with salt. It’s not raw, but “cooked” by the salt. It’s delicious!! If you like salmon I think you’d like it! You can also use smoked salmon instead.
Helen, this post was by far the most clicked on the Blogger’s Pit Stop #56. Congratulations, be looking for a feature on Friday.
Awesome! Thanks!
I LOVE this idea, but I have a huge problem. I can’t have an avocado around the house without turning it into guacamole! Seriously, I just. can’t. do it. But if I ever find a way to manage it (or if all these avocado trees in the backyard finally start producing), then I want to try this! Thanks for sharing at #FridayFrivolity this week!
I wish we had trees! We go through lots of avocados!! Try a sandwich with some red onion and avocado – so good!
