Griddle Toast and Soft Boiled Egg

Toast without a toaster? You bet - just toast it on a hot griddle!

Ingredients
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 slice bread
  • 2 teaspoons softened butter
Instructions
  1. The first thing you need to do is get the griddle (or heavy skillet) hot. Put butter on both sides of the toast.

  2. Lay the toast on the griddle and cook for one to two minutes on each side.

  3. While it's cooking, place the egg(s) in a sauce pan with cold water. Bring it to a boil and cook for 1 minutes.

  4. Remove from the heat and let it sit in the hot for three minutes. Run it under cold water.

  5. Tap the top of the shell to knock it off.

  6. Using a small spoon, scoop the egg from the shell and lay it on the toast.
