Pizza Sticks

These tasty little treats are great for a meal or a snack. They can be frozen and reheated. And they are delicious! Pizza sticks anyone?

Ingredients
  • 2 sheets Puff pastry
  • 3/4 cup Italian sausage, cooked (about 1 cup raw)
  • 1/3 cup ricotta cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded Mozzarella
  • 36 slices of pepperoni
  • 6 Tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh garlic, crushed
  • 4 Tablespoons dried parmesan (the kind in the can)
Instructions
  1. These tasty little treats are great for a meal or a snack. They can be frozen and reheated. And they are delicious! Pizza sticks anyone?

  2. Start by cooking up the sausage. Make sure it is well browned, then drain in a colander and set aside.

  3. Prepare all the filling ingredients and set aside. I used ricotta, pepperoni and sausage. Fill yours with your favorite pizza filling! 

  4. Open the puff pastry and remove 2 sheets.

  5. Cut each into thirds, horizontally.

  6. Fill each section with equal amounts of the four fillings. 

  7. Wrap the section carefully around the filling and seal with just a touch of water.

  8. Lay on a parchment lined baking sheet. 

  9. Preheat the oven to 375°. Melt the butter and stir in the garlic. Brush each stick with the butter, then top with equal amounts of parmesan.

  10. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dough is browned and cooked through. 

  11. Allow to rest for about 10 minutes before you eat them. They will be hot in the middle.

  12. Serve with some pizza sauce to dip the sticks in. Enjoy!
