Rub some butter on the sides of a large bowl. Place the bread dough into the bowl. Cover with a damp towel and allow it to thaw and rise. This usually takes 2 to 3 hours.
-
Place the rosemary and the butter in a glass dish and heat (I used the microwave) until the butter is melted.
-
Once the dough is totally thawed and risen, punch it down.
-
Next, add the cheese, butter, rosemary and flour. Begin mixing and kneading while it is still in the bowl. Once the ingredients begin to be incorporated, turn it out onto a board and gently knead, pushing and folding the cheese into the dough.
-
Grease the inside of a loaf pan with butter.
-
Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in the pan. Cover with a damp towel and put in a warm place to rise, about 45 minutes to an hour, or until double in bulk.
-
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees for about 20 minutes. Place the bread in a center rack and bake for about 30 to 40 minutes. The top will be golden brown and there will be a hollow sound when you thump the top of the loaf with your finger.
-
Rub the top of the loaf with butter while it's still hot.
-
Allow to cool a little bit before cutting.
-
Cut, butter, enjoy!
