Gnocchi with Gorgonzola Cream Sauce

A quick recipe that tastes like you cooked all day. Rich sauce over pillows of gnocchi.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound package Premade gnocci
  • 2 Tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/3 cup half and half
  • 1/3 pound gorgonzola cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon heavy cream (you can substitute half and half)
  • 1/2 teaspoon corn starch
Instructions
  1. Start by cooking the gnocchi according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a small sauce pan, melt the butter.

  3. Add the garlic clove and cook for about 2 minutes.

  4. Stir in the half and half and the gorgonzola. Turn heat to low and simmer gently until the cheese is melted.

  5. Next stir the corn starch into the cream until it's dissolved.

  6. Add to the cheese mixture and stir until slightly thickened.

  7. Pour the sauce over the gnocchi and stir until it's all coated. Add some salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot!
