Seems it’s always National something day! Well, today is no different. Today is National Camp Day. What? Camp day in the middle of November? Yep. A day set aside to celebrate camping. And not just camping, but those camps we all got to attend as kids!
But what can we do amidst the covid 19 and the cold and the rain that brings that wonderful feeling of camp? Well, there are two things that we always had at the campfire – hot cocoa [7] and s’mores. So why not combine them?
Here’s How to Do it:
It’s really pretty simple to make.
Start with your favorite hot cocoa recipe. I like to use a packet of instant and dissolve it with half the water.
When it’s dissolved, fill the cup with hot milk.
Top it off with marshmallows – all the marshmallows you want!
Then blacken them with a brûlée torch.
Garnish the top with some graham cracker crumbs,
close your eyes and take a sip.
You’ll be taken to the camp fire eating s’mores before you know it!
