I’ve been harvesting green beans for a couple of weeks now. Most of them get frozen for the winter months, but we like to enjoy them fresh too! Here’s an easy recipe for a quick and delicious way to prepare them.
Here’s how to cook those green beans:
Wash the beans in cool water.
Heat a heavy skillet of medium heat. Add the olive oil and let it get hot.
When the pan is hot, lay the beans in, add lots of fresh cracked pepper, and gently sauté them until they turn bright green!
Add the remaining ingredients and cook it all together for just a short minutes. Be careful not to overcook the beans. They should be warm and somewhat soft, but still crisp when you chew it.
Serve them hot with some lemon slices to garnish. And that’s it!
These go great with pasta!
