The fourth of July is just a few days away! Are you having a barbecue? Cooling off in the summer heat is perfect with popsicles! Here are some deliciously cooling, patriotic popsicles! And so easy to make!
What kind of popsicle mold is best?
The mold I used in this recipe is the old fashioned plastic mold for popssicles. But they tend to stick and be hard to remove! And you end up with half a popsicle on the stick! I have since purchased a silicone mold and it’s great!! You just put the popsicle from the bottom and out it comes – in ONE piece!!

Making the Pops –Â
Start with the red – Bring the strawberries, sugar and water to a boil.
Simmer for about five minutes, then remove from the heat to cool.
Once it’s cooled off, put it in the blender or food processor and puree it all.
Pour to one third of the mold and freeze until nearly solid, an hour or two.
White is Next – Blend the condensed milk and lemonade together.
Pour into the mold about 2/3 of the way up. Put in the freezer until somewhat solid.
Finally, the blue – As with the strawberries, put everything into a small pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until the berries are popping and the sugar is dissolved, about 4 to 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and let cool.
Puree in the blender and fill the molds.
You can see the layers now –
Put the sticks and tops on and freeze until solid, at least 24 hours. Then, just push them out and enjoy!!
