Pork, Potato and Onion Casserole

 

We love pork – and I love easy! A casserole is the ultimate easy dish to make. This recipe can be made with any kind of meat, any kind of potato and you can add things like mushrooms or peppers. It’s rich, hot and makes the house smell amazing!

Here’s How to Do it:

Preheat the oven to 350° – Lightly oil the bottom of a medium casserole dish or baking dish.

Lay the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the dish and top with some salt and pepper.

Next, spread a can of cream of chicken soup on top.

Now lay the onion slices on top of that. Cut butter into four or five slices and lay on top of the onion.

Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the pork steaks and lay them on top of the onions and butter.

Top the whole dish with the golden mushroom soup.

Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake an additional 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are done.

Remove from the oven and allow to “rest” for about 15 minutes.

Serve hot!

  • 1 pound pork steaks or boneless country pork ribs

  • 1 medium onion, sliced

  • 1 can condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • salt and pepper
