Got 4th of July Leftovers? Here are some ideas

First – sorry this post is so late!! My website was having problems and I couldn’t get on to post!! But it’s back!!

The 4th of July is over. Did you have a party or go to one? We had a barbecue and have to many leftovers I’m trying to figure out what to do!!

As I searched Pintrest and google I thought, maybe, you all were having the same dilemma! So I put together some ideas for you to use up those burgers and sausages and corn.

Freezing

Freezing the leftovers is a quick and easy way to make sure they don’t got to waste.

Do NOT refreeze raw meat! It will change the texture and won’t taste so great. I know. I did it. Twice. If you want to refreeze it, cook it first.

Ground beef can be made into patties or simply cooked like taco meat. Sausages can be grilled or fried. The put them in an airtight freezer container. If you freeze them flat on a cookie sheet first, then bag them, you can take out what you need when you need and won’t have to thaw it all.

Ground Beef Ideas

All of the recipes here call for ground beef. Typically you would season the meat while it’s cooking, but for precooked, add the seasoning with a little bit of water (1/8 to 1/4 cup) and simmer it gently until the meat has the flavors.
