At our house we eat a lot of gorgonzola and other blue cheeses. We purchased a package of gorgonzola gnocchi at Trader Joe’s and really liked it. I decided to try to create a similar dish – with my own little twist! Some garlic!
Here’s How to Do it:
Start by cooking the gnocchi according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a small sauce pan, melt the butter.
Add the garlic clove and cook for about 2 minutes.
Stir in the half and half and the gorgonzola. Turn heat to low and simmer gently until the cheese is melted.
Next stir the corn starch into the cream until it’s dissolved.
Add to the cheese mixture and stir until slightly thickened.
Pour the sauce over the gnocchi and stir until it’s all coated. Add some salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot!
It goes great with pork loin and green beans!!
