We had ham for Christmas and we had a lot left! We made beans, sandwiches and with the last bit, this delicious appetizer – Deviled Ham! A perfect appetizer for any get together, or just a snack by yourself.
This little treat is so simple and simply delicious. We sat and ate it all – and called it dinner! It tastes great and it’s a little something different.
As you’re making this recipe, the amounts are adjustable. Try to keep the portions close, but some people like more mayo or more mustard. Deviled ham uses the same concept as deviled eggs, but with ham instead of egg yolks.
Here’s How to Make Deviled Ham:
Chop the ham, onion and celery. The smaller the pieces the better, but again, you can adjust to your own preference.
Place the ham and onions and celery, and all the other ingredients into a bowl.
And serve! It’s that easy.
A delicious way to use that little bit of extra ham.
- 1 cup cooked ham, (minced)
- 2 green onions, (minced)
- 2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 Tablespoons plain greek yogurt ((I used fat free))
- 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
- 2 teaspoons celery, (minced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Mince the ham, onion and celery.
Place the ham and all the other ingredients into a bowl.
And serve! It's that easy.
