Mummy Poppers

It’s time to bring out all those scary foods to celebrate the season of fright.  Here’s a spooky version of jalapeño poppers!

They are so easy to make –

Mummy Popper Ingredients –

Making the poppers –

Cut a slit in each pepper.  Carefully clean out the seeds and membranes.  Rinse and set aside to dry.

Fill the inside of each chili with a piece of cheese.

Wrap with a half of a  slice of bacon.

Separate the crescent rolls.  Cut each one into 3 strips.  Wrap the dough around the bacon wrapped pepper to look like mummy wrappings.  Place two pepper corns on the top to look like eyes.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 – 12 minutes, or until the dough is golden.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool.  Serve hot or cold with ranch dressing.

  • 8 whole jalapeños
  • 4 oz. pepper jack cheese cut into 8 rectangles
  • 4 slices bacon cut in half
  • 1 pkg refrigerator dough crescent rolls
  • 16 whole pepper corns (the eyes)

  1. Cut a slit in each pepper. Carefully clean out the seeds and membranes. Rinse and set aside to dry.

  2. Fill the inside of each chili with a piece of cheese, wrap with 1/2 slice of bacon.
  3. Separate the crescent rolls. Cut each one into 3 strips. Wrap the dough around the bacon wrapped pepper to look like mummy wrappings. Place two pepper corns on the top to look like eyes.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 – 12 minutes, or until the dough is golden.
