Crockpot Beer Braised Pork Sliders

It’s National Sandwich Day! And here is an amazing pork sandwich that will help you celebrate the day!

The story goes that John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich (a city in the Shire of Kent, England) loved to play cards – and he loved to eat meat. But he didn’t want greasy meat fingers to smear up his cards. So he ordered it between bread. It solved two problems. One, his fingers stayed clean and two, he didn’t need to put anything down as he would if he used a fork. In fact, this method of delivery became so popular, people started ordering, “the same as Sandwich”. And the rest is history!

So here’s a tasty slider sandwich – pork braised all day long in beer and garlic salt. Moist, full of flavor and perfect between buns (and it goes amazing with beer battered onion rings [7])!
