Carne Asada – Marinated and Grilled Beef

Grilled beef Mexican style. I love Mexican food. Carne Asada is a simple, flavor grilled beef that is perfect as the main course or in tacos or burritos. It’s so easy to make and so easy to eat!

What you need:

How to Do it:

Roll the limes on the counter to release the juices.

Using a citrus reamer, juice the 4 limes.

Pour into a large Ziploc bag.

Add the garlic, sliced jalapeño and salt and shake to mix.

Add the steak and seal tight. Refrigerate for 5-6 hours.

Heat the grill to high. Put the poblano and jalapeño on to char. Add the green onions and char them.

Place the meat on the grill and quickly sear on both sides, make it charred but still slightly rare.

Place the peppers in a plastic bag to loosen the skin.

Let the meat rest for a few minutes, then slice thin.

Rub as much of the skin off the peppers a possible (without burning yourself). Remove the core and the seeds inside. Slice the peppers.

Place the meat, pepper, onions and condiments on a serving platter.

Serve with warm tortillas.

Makes 4 servings.
